Loki Ugla, Australian Shepherd, born May 1st, 2003.
Loki has been may faithful companion since he was three months old.
He has gone with me nearly everywhere, with the exception of the 10 months that I spent in the Philippines, and now that I am in Germany.
I wanted to bring him to the Philippines with me, but at the time, he had a snake bite on the leg. The bite was not healing, and has since reopened many times. The vet says that the bacteria/virus is in the bone. Fortunately, it has not spread past the localized area. This was in 2013.
In April 2016, I moved to Germany. I wanted to bring him with me then, but the vet said that the plane flight and resulting stress would probably kill him. I could not risk that just for my convenience.
So, my furry best friend, is living at my sister and brother-in-law’s house in Alabama, surrounded by his pack, and people that love him.
Loki’s health is not the best anymore. He is going blind, having hip problems, etc., but this is to be expected. He is the equivalent of 90+ years old for a human.
I miss him terribly. Very terribly.
